City DOG's Mission is to celebrate the special bond between dogs and their people by supporting a dog-friendly environment which provides opportunity for people to participate in regular activities with their canine companions by:

Preserving current access/dog allowed areas within the city and county

Establishing official off-leash areas in Boise City parks and the City's area of impact, both enclosed areas and trails

Supporting efforts in Ada County and other Treasure Valley communities to promote off- leash areas and preserve park access for dogs and their owners

Promoting public education on the responsibilities of dog ownership, including the need for clean- up, control, spaying and neutering, training and socialization

Raising funds to provide the necessary monetary support to achieve these goals

Complementing the efforts of other canine companion groups to improve the quality of life for all dogs and their owners in the Treasure Valley
