City DOG's Mission is to celebrate the
special bond between dogs and their people by supporting a dog-friendly environment
which provides opportunity for people to participate in regular activities with
their canine companions by:
 |
Preserving
current access/dog allowed areas within the
city and county |
 |
Establishing
official off-leash areas in Boise City parks
and the City's area of impact, both enclosed
areas and trails |
 |
Supporting efforts in
Ada County and other Treasure Valley communities to promote off- leash
areas and preserve park access for dogs and their owners |
 |
Promoting
public education on the responsibilities of
dog ownership, including the need for clean-
up, control, spaying and neutering, training
and socialization |
 |
Raising funds to
provide the necessary monetary support to achieve these goals |
 |
Complementing the
efforts of other canine companion groups to improve the quality of life
for all dogs and their owners in the Treasure Valley |
